Q. What roof bars fit my car?

There are three main types of roof bars: Square bars, Aero bars and Thule wing bars. Although many will universally fit most vehicles, it’s still important to check compatibility before you make a purchase. To find suitable roof bars for your car, simply enter your vehicle registration number in our online checker. You’ll then only be shown roof bars that will fit your make and model of car.

Q. How do I fit roof bars to my car?

Roof bars are sold in three separate parts: the bars, foot packs to attach to the bars, and fitting kits that connect the feet to the roof. You may only need the bars and a foot pack if your car came with factory-fitted roof rails. While fitting roof bars yourself is certainly an option, if you’d prefer to take the hassle out of the process then we can fit them for you.

Q. What size roof bars do I need?

While many of the roof bars we sell universally fit to most vehicles, you’ll need to not only check compatibility but also consider the properties of the roof bars too. For example, some may have a particular weight restriction and so may not be suitable for larger families. Aerodynamics and ease of use are other aspects to bear in mind. Q. How can I stop roof bars from whistling?

Installing a wind deflector is the best way to stop roof bars from whistling. Also known as a wind fairing, a wind deflector is a plastic shield that helps to deflect wind away from the roof rack and therefore reduces wind noise.

Q. How do I choose the correct roof bars?

We offer a number of different brands and systems for your specific requirements, alongside an extensive range of foot packs and fitting kits for a large number of cars and vans. You’ll want to check compatibility using our online checker, but it’s also important to consider the properties of the roof bars.
