At Halfords, we stock a range of tubeless sealants, tubeless tyres, levers, rim tape and more to help you get the perfect tubeless setup for your bike – ideal for tubeless ready wheels with Schrader valves.

Tubeless FAQs
What does tubeless sealant do?
It's there to deal with small punctures. If you pick up a tiny thorn or sharp bit of debris, the sealant can often plug the hole before you even notice you've got one.
How much sealant should I put in a tubeless tyre?
There's no single amount that works for every tyre. Most riders follow the recommendation on the sealant bottle or tyre packaging, as it can vary depending on tyre size.
Can tubeless sealant dry out over time?
Yes, it does. If you've left a bike sitting for a few months, there's a good chance some of the sealant has dried up inside the tyre. That's why many riders check and top it up every so often.
Is tubeless really worth it?
Tubeless tyres are worth considering if you want less punctures, better grip and the ability to run lower tyre pressures for a smoother ride. They can also reduce rolling resistance for a more efficient ride. Halfords has a selection of tubeless tyres and accessories to help you make the change.
How expensive is it to go tubeless?
It depends on your bike and what you need, but going tubeless isn’t cheap. If your wheels are tubeless-ready then you will generally require tubeless tyres, sealant and valves. Depending on the tyres and components you opt for, you can expect to pay anything from £40 to £120 plus.
How long does tubeless last?
Tubeless tires will last as long as conventional tires, depending on your riding and maintenance habits. You will generally need to top up tubeless sealant every 2-6 months and replace the tyres when the tread wears out or is damaged.
