Bike Lube FAQs

How often to lube a bike chain?

It really depends on how often and where you ride. If you’ve been out in the rain or through muddy tracks, it’s best to give the chain a quick clean and lube after. For regular dry rides, doing it every few rides keeps everything feeling smooth.

Can i use engine oil to lube bike chain?

Not the best idea. Engine oil is thick and attracts a lot of dirt, which ends up wearing the chain faster. Bike lubes are made to stay clean and protect the parts properly, so they do a better job.

What is assembly grease?

It’s basically a thick grease used on parts like bolts, bearings and cables so they don’t stick or seize over time. It makes putting everything together easier and helps parts move smoothly. It also saves you a headache when you need to take things apart later.
