All Bike Maintenance FAQs
Do electric bikes require special maintenance?
Not a huge amount, but there are a couple of extra things to keep an eye on. The battery and motor should be checked now and then, and it's worth keeping the battery charged and stored properly. Apart from that, the usual bike maintenance still applies.
How can I make gear shifting smoother?
A quick clean and a bit of lubricant on the chain can make a surprising difference. If the gears still feel clunky, the cable tension may need a small adjustment. Sometimes a few minutes of tweaking is all it takes.
Is it safe to use a pressure washer on a bike?
You can, but many cyclists avoid it. A strong jet of water can force dirt and moisture into bearings and other moving parts. A bucket, sponge and hose are usually more than enough to get the job done.
