Halfords Motoring Club is our brand new loyalty club designed to help keep our customers moving, safe and saving money. We're taking the hassle out of maintaining a car and rewarding our customers for shopping with us and using our services. Halfords Motoring Club offers 2 tiers of membership, a free and premium tier, which members join to get great benefits and savings.
It's easy to join. You can join online at www.halfords.com/motoring-club or simply scan the QR code in store or in one of our garages and follow the online registration.
The minimum subscription length is 12 months. You'll have access to your benefits from day 1.
There are 2 membership tiers to choose from, a Free and Premium tier (£49). Whichever tier is chosen, members enjoy benefits they can use online, in our stores and garages and with Halfords Mobile Expert.
All Halfords retail stores in the UK are participating in the Halfords Motoring Club.
Yes, all Halfords Garages are participating in the Motoring Club.
Yes, just visit your local Halfords store or your nearest Halfords / McConnechy's garage.
Halfords retail stores in Northern Ireland are participating in Halfords Motoring Club however as we do not currently have garages available some benefits are limited. However you can still join for free and benefit from a £5 voucher to use on purchases over £30 and a free 10 point health check.
The Halfords Motoring Club is not currently available in the Republic of Ireland.
If you're at renewal and wish to discuss cancellation of your membership, or would like to cancel outside of your 14 day cooling off period, please contact one of our Customer Services team by dialling 03301359779 and select option 2 for Premium customers, and then option 3 to discuss your cancellation.
You can scan the QR code in store to go the sign up page, or place an order for a Premium Membership on the Halfords website. The completion of your membership / our acceptance of your order will take place as soon as we process your payment (or if applying for the free membership, this starts as soon as your application has been accepted by us). After these points, you will have entered into a contract with Halfords.
Membership ends 12 months from the start date but will automatically renew. We will be in touch with you regarding renewal
Yes, you can upgrade to premium to take advantage of the amazing benefits it brings at any time. Please visit the my account section of our website to support this.
No, when you upgrade to Premium and you will be allocated a new set of Premium benefits.
You can downgrade to free membership at any time during the first 14 days of your Premium membership (if you have not used any benefits) or when your membership is due for renewal.

Halfords Motoring Club will be rolling out into National Garages throughout 2023, participating garages will be shown on our website as and when they become available.
To redeem your benefits online you must be logged into your Halfords account. Once at the basket stage of your order you will have the option to apply any relevant benefits, simply switch on your chosen benefit before proceeding to checkout.
If you’re shopping in-store, simply show an in-store colleague your QR code so they can scan it to apply any of your relevant benefits.
If you join the Free tier, you get £5 off an MOT, a £5 voucher available to use on purchases over £30, and a free 10 point vehicle health check which can be taken at our retail stores. In Premium, there are even more benefits including a Free MOT, 2 free 10 point vehicle health checks, a free fitting of a pair of bulbs, or wipers or a battery, a £10 welcome voucher and an always on 5% discount which you can use across our motoring products and services categories.

Yes, your membership entitles you to apply your 5% discount in addition to any instore promotional, discount or sale in place. However this does not include third party offers or memberships, which are excluded.
All Halfords retail stores, Halfords Autocentres, Halfords Mobile Experts and McConechy’s are participating in the Halfords Motoring Club in the United Kingdom however there are some benefit restrictions in place for Northern Ireland
When you join Halfords Motoring Club, you can log onto your Rewards and Benefits section of your account on Halfords.com. Your benefits will be displayed and once you use a benefit it shows used.
Benefits last for 12 months from the date you joined Halfords Motoring Club. If you upgrade to Premium at any time in the first year, you will receive a fresh set of Premium benefits.

A QR code is a method of accessing information about Halfords Motoring Club on your smart device. You scan the QR code with your smart phone to sign up to membership online. You'll also receive a QR code once registration is complete and this is the code our store and retail colleagues will scan at the till to activate your relevant benefits. Think of it as your Motoring Club Membership Card!
Tap the three dot menu in the upper right corner and save the image to photos and make a favourite. Tap allow access to all photos and your QR code will be in your favourites within photos for easy access next time you shop.
We include your QR code at the bottom of your emails from Halfords Motoring Club, including your Welcome email when you first register and your Monthly Newsletter. You can save your QR code in your digital wallet for future use.
There are two tiers of membership, you can join for free or become a Premium Member to get access to our best benefits and costs £49/year or £4.99/month for 12 months.
Your first payment is taken by card when you join in store or online, and subsequent payments will be taken from the same payment details to maintain your membership depending whether you are paying monthly or annually.
You can update your details online by logging in to your Account and selecting ‘Subscriptions’ from your Dashboard, then on your Membership Subscription select ‘View Details’ and then ‘Edit Payment Details’. This will then open a small window where you enter the address linked to your payment method, followed by your card details.
If your subscription payment fails (either a monthly or yearly payment) then we’ll continue to try and take payment using the details you’ve given us, and we’ll keep you updated via email. If we need you to help us make a payment then we will let you know, this would usually be if your card has expired or if there’s insufficient funds. If payment still can’t be taken, your benefits will be suspended until a successful payment has been made.
If your benefits have been suspended, it’s likely due to a payments issue. To resolve this, log in online and follow the instructions from your dashboard on how to update your payment details and make your outstanding payment. If you continue to have issues, reach out to the team through the Live Chat and we’ll find a solution.
We will never call and ask you to share your full payment details over the phone, including your security code. If there’s been an issue with a subscription payment then we’ll always email you to let you know so that you can fix it as soon as possible. If you need to update your card details, you can log in online and do this within My Account. If ever in doubt, do not share your personal details and contact us directly.
If you’re making your membership payments through Paypal and need to update your card details, you can do this by logging into your Paypal account and following their process to add a new card. You can still update your details directly on our website, however this will mean that we will take payments directly from your bank rather than through Paypal.
