Click & Collect



Our Click & Collect service allows you to order an item online for collection in any of our Stores and selected garages.

When shopping on our site you will have the option to click and collect into our stores from 1 hour* after placing your order. Once the order has been placed and you have provided us with your phone number and email address during the checkout process, you will receive confirmation when the order is ready to be collected.

*This service will be subject to product availability in your selected store.

Choose a Collection Day

For products that are not available in your local store to collect from 1 hour you will be given the option to choose a collection day that suits you on the product page after entering your post code. This will then be confirmed when you have completed checkout.

Built Bikes Collection

If you have ordered a built bike, you will have been asked to book a collection day and time to safely collect your bike. Once you have chosen a slot, this date and time is unable to be amended.

Please note: For the safety of our customers and colleagues, extra measures have been put in place that may result in your click & collect or home delivery order taking longer than normal to be ready.

If the item is available in your selected Store, you will be able to choose same day collection and pick up within 1 hour of placing your order. Alternatively, you can choose another day that suits you to pick up your products. Please wait for your confirmation text before coming in to collect your order.

If you have ordered a built bike, you will have been asked to book a collection day and time to safely collect your bike. Once you have chosen a slot, this date and time is unable to be amended.

If your item is not in stock in your chosen store, you can choose to have the item delivered to another local store for collection.

There are varied factors that can affect delivery times. For instance, if you order a bike via click & collect how quickly you can collect it depends upon whether you would like it built and whether it is in stock at your local store.

We keep all orders in store for 7 days. We will send you a text to let you know your order is in store. If you cannot pick up your order, text us back or call the store to extend your collection date. If you do not collect your order, we will issue a refund.

If your item is not in stock in your chosen store, you can choose to have the item delivered to your chosen store for collection.

When you order a bike to collect in-store, you will have the option to have it built by our experts for £10 or collect boxed (unbuilt) for free. If your chosen bike is £250 or over, we will build for free.

You will need to choose bike build as an option when you have chosen your product and then choose an available collection slot to pick up your bike.

Forgot to add your bike build? No problem! Simply contact your chosen Store and they will get this added on for you.

*Note bike builds added after the order has been placed will add up to 24 hours on the collection time.

Bikes that have to be ordered into your chosen store will be ready for collection in up to seven working days. Some exceptions may apply for Web Exclusive products.

When you go to collect your item, you will always pay the price you reserved it at, even if the price has since changed or the offer's ended.

If the price has reduced before you have collected your items, we will reduce the price in line with our price match policy.

Halfords place a pre-authorisation (or a reservation of funds) on the account when your order is placed to ensure the order can be purchased. Once the item is dispatched then Halfords will charge for the item and the money will leave your account.

No Problem! To cancel your order all you need to do is contact your chosen store and they can make the arrangements for you. Their contact details will be detailed on your order confirmation, alternatively click here.

But do not worry, if you cannot get in touch, our Stores will cancel you order 7 days after the selected collection date.

All order will be held In-store for up to 7 days from the date the order was due to be collected. If you feel you may not be able to collect within this period, contact you chosen Store and they can extend this to a date up to 7 additional days .

Only a copy of the order confirmation is required to present at the time of collection.

Once you have chosen your bike online, you will be prompted to enter your post code on the product page. After you have done this, you will have the option to choose a collection slot at a store that is most convenient for you.

Please note: Collection slots are available up to 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) in advance.

If you have booked an appointment to collect your built bike but can longer attend at the selected time and date, please visit your chosen store to arrange an alternative appointment. Where possible a colleague will book an alternative time and date for you to collect your built bike and have it set up to your requirements.

If there are no suitable appointments available in the diary then the store colleague will make every effort to accommodate your needs alongside other bookings in the diary, but please be aware that you may experience a longer wait time when you arrive to collect your built bike.

If you have changed your mind and now wish to cancel your order, please visit your local store where they can cancel the order and issue you a refund.

Unfortunately, if your item is not in stock in store then it will need to be delivered. Your collection date will be shown clearly throughout the order process (this may vary for certain items that come from the supplier).

All you need to bring along is your order reference number.

If you have ordered a car part will be able to chose a collection time/day based on the fulfilment time of your local store/stores so that you can chose the best option for you. This will be visible to you at your time of purchase.

Please wait for your confirmation text before coming in to collect your order, as local traffic/exceptional operational activity may influence when your part will be available to collect.
