When it comes to riding bikes, kids are constantly pushing forwards, riding faster and exploring further. So when designing our first full range of junior bikes, we put Forwards, Faster, Further on each bike to keep the childlike joy and freedom of pushing the boundaries on a bike at the front of our minds.
Our goal is to ensure that the simple act (after some practice) of riding a Boardman JNR is as fun and empowering as possible.
Little Wheels, Big Ambitions
The Boardman JNR 20” Bike is the third bike in the range and it’s ideal for kids who have mastered the basics and are ready to enjoy faster-paced riding.
Now it's time to step things up, get them going faster, and experience more of their surroundings.
As with the rest of the JNR range, the JNR 20" takes inspiration from the adult HYB range with a focus on lightness and easy, intuitive handling.
The lightweight forks and triple-butted alloy frame offer easy and intuitive handling, while the long wheelbase and increased standover clearance make the bike more stable while you’re riding and easier to dismount when you’re done.
The Little Things That Matter
The biggest change comes in the form of 7-speed Shimano gearing, allowing for more advanced riding across a wider variety of terrain.
That school run that was just a little too far or hills and inclines will no longer pose a problem.
Then when it’s time to slow down, the powerful V-brake and short-reach levers make for easy and controlled stopping.
There'll be no stopping them from getting out and exploring!
