Customers told us that features such as saddle comfort were a crucial aspect of their riding experience. Recognising this we’ve equipped the Axle with memory foam saddles helping you spend even more time comfortably on your rides. Often overlooked but an important contact point when you’re riding, the Axle is equipped with soft rubber, ergonomically designed handlebar grips for additional comfort. 
 
Additional peace of mind. And grip. 
 
To give you even more riding time and not have you standing idle we’re also giving you more peace of mind by fitting ‘Carrera Puncture Protection’ tyres as standard which include an additional layer of puncture resistant material running around the tyre which will help reduce the incidence of punctures.
  
Wide range gearing 
 
The Carrera Axle features a 3x7 drivetrain which is optimised to offer a wide selection of ratios. Set in the lowest gears you’ll feel as though you can conquer any hill, no matter how steep or longer. And in the highest you’ll be able to push on strongly at a high rate of speed. 
 
Lightweight, easy-handling frame
 
Weighing in at just 13.5kg, the Carrera Axle’s lightweight aluminium frame does a great job of keeping the bike’s overall weight down, helping you to cycle further for longer. We’ve made the bike slightly higher at the front end, giving a more upright and comfortable riding position. Most people find this position and the flat handlebars a great combination for maintaining great visibility of the road ahead. 
 
Carrera Axle accessories 
 
A Mudguard Set is a great option for helping to keep some of the mud and water away from your bike and clothes. Deter thieves with a Lock, ideal for locking your bike up outside the office or at a bike rack, and make sure you’re safe and seen with Bike Lights. 
  
Maintain your Carrera Axle 
 
If you plan on using your Carrera Axle regularly, then we’d recommend our CycleCare services to make sure your new bike stays in top shape. Just like the annual service you’d get done on your car, we’ll check your bike’s components depending on the service you choose, then make any repairs and make sure your bike is safe to ride. On the subject of safety, you’re also welcome to bring your Carrera Axle to any Halfords store for unlimited safety checks at any time.
